Privacy Policy
What we collect
When you sign in we store your email address so you can log back in. We also store anything you put into the app: plan titles, events, notes, budget entries, colour labels, timezones, and the name and currency you set. If you invite somebody to a plan, the email address you typed is stored as a member of that plan.
We do not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, or anything else from your device. We do not use analytics or advertising tools. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
How we use it
Your data is used only to provide the app. Email is used to send you a sign in code and to identify your account. Plan content is used to display it to you and to anybody you invite to that plan.
Where it is stored
All data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, who process it on our behalf and are bound by their own terms. Connections happen over HTTPS. The mobile app also keeps a copy of your plans on your device so it works offline. Authentication tokens on mobile are kept in the operating system keychain.
Exchange rates
The budget view converts amounts between currencies. We fetch exchange rates from open.er-api.com, a public exchange rate service. No personal data is sent to them.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account permanently from the settings tab in the app, which removes your account record, every plan you own, your memberships in plans owned by others, and your authentication record. Plans you own that are shared with other people will also be deleted, removing access for those other members. To delete individual items without deleting your account, edit or remove them inside the app.
Sharing plans
You can invite other people to a plan by their email address. They will see your name and email address as a member of that plan. Plan content you add or edit is visible to all members of that plan.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For a copy of your data or any other request, email hello@myplans.ink.
Changes
Significant changes to this policy will be announced in the app.
